Recently Gartner, IBM and many others have predicted that 2 technologies would drive the IT field at least for the next 5-10 timeframe. If one wants to be or continue to be in IT field or connected to this field then one of 2 technologies need to be understood if possible studied and contributed to - they are (1) Bigdata and (2) Natural Language. 80% all digital data available in the world has been generated in the past few years. (this is logical as only in the past few years there is a widespread usage of computers across various purposes). The amount of Data that's being available to query and make meanings is enormous - ordinary database or computer can't handly such huge amount of data - thus Grid computing, Cloud computing is becoming the norm and many new software tools are coming up to handle such large volumes of data. Next is Natural Language - today queries towards this data is not structured or in machine language but in human language or Natural Language (such as H

We know that Veda PaTashalaas teach Vedas to aspiring students - which are normally run by GhanapaTee with meagre funds provided by MaTas (Mutts). The teacher himself here has gone through the regiour of studying upto Ghanam. Normally it takes 7 years to complete Kramam and another year for JaTaa and another year or two to complete Ghanam. If these GhanapaTees come to prohitam (which generally they don't do) they could make a lot of money, but they choose to teach insead of coming to prohitam work. Out of 150-200 students studying Veda 1 or 2 go to study Ghanam and out of 1000 students who study Veda 1 or 2 go to study Shastra. There used to be many Shastra paTasaalaas across Bharatam, now very few are there. This is an appeal to those who can affort - please donate a little to a Veda PaaTashaala or Shastra paaTashaala or our traditional Shankara /Vaish nava /Maadhva MaTaas - which are taking care of many paaTashaalaas. A long post which I have to read.,, sharing this with you in case you have time please read Originally shared by Common Man Indian Gods Were Aliens! ( I came across this interesting blog, If you have time please go through ) The only god I know of is an undeniably infinite open space which is home to uncountable number of galaxies and "n" number of stars within. Which in itself is nothing but has everything in it. Which has no starting point nor ending, no direction nor depth.Every religion and everyone tries to define it but end up defining the same thing in a different way. Because of course you cant define "nothingness".   Hello people! I am the "Fact Finder" and am an enthusiastic and logical thinker of Indian mythology and tradition , and a few years back I came across an elderly person who started all this thoughts inside my head of Indians gods being from another planet, at first I laughed and thought this couldn't be, but I had a bit of a trust

I was reading this blog on SATI ritual which is referred to Atharva Veda.

I was reading this blog on SATI ritual which is referred to Atharva Veda. I don't think this is part of veda by its mere call of women to die along with her husband.  http://mrugendram.blogspot.in/2012/05/sati-should-woman-die-on-husbands-pyre.html http://mrugendram.blogspot.in/2012/05/sati-should-woman-die-on-husbands-pyre.html
