We all feel very fresh after having a bath. However, do you know that the abhyangasnan is spiritually more beneficial than the ordinary bath ? Abhyangasnan is getting up early in the morning, before sunrise, applying oil to the whole body and massaging till it is absorbed in the skin and then taking warm water bath / shower. By applying oil to the skin, it retains elasticity. Warm water is auspicious and pleasing to the body. Bathing after an oil massage retains only the required amount of oiliness that the skin and hair require. Hence an oil massage is necessary before a bath. Application of oil to the skin after a bath is not beneficial. Spiritual significance of abhyangasnan : When we have every day bath or shower, the raja and tama components in us decrease by 0.00001 % and the sattva component in us increases by the same

This, my understanding based on the following facts - 1. लिपिः = वर्णव्यञ्जकः रेखोपरेखविन्न्यासः - so there are no set patterns for a lipi (script) as long as the symbol is able to suggest the Varna (phoneme) then it is acceptable as lipi (script). 2. Various traditional scholars of high repute have confirmed the Indus script as Sanskrit. 3. So far, from our other old scripts deciphered - poorva brāhmī, brāhmī, karoṣṭī, śāradhā, maithilī, grantha, nāgarī, tigaḷāri, etc. We understand that, all these scripts were indeed used to write Sanskrit and some are Sanskrit only. 4. there are 64 more scripts which were used to write Sanskrit, details of those scripts names etc. can be got from the Tibetian manuscript "Samavāyasutta" (Prakrit) - about 2000 years old - this is a published Buddhist manuscript. 5. The seals contain a specific species of

Information Courtesy:  http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~goyal/creation.php Modern Science is unable to explain the process of creation as of now. The Big bang theory and Steady State theory have many loop holes and they do not appeal to everybody. Anyways, I will not discuss Modern theories of creation here. I am going to state what Vedas say about creation. Vedas are the sacred text of Hinduism, just like Bible for Christanity. Creation has many aspects, and it is not possible to talk about them in this article, so I will talk only about different phases of creation. Chapter 2.5 and 3.10 of Srimada Bhagavatam deals with the process of creation. Note that the Puranas, Upanishads are also considered as part of Vedas, besides 4 main Vedas. Before stating the theory, let me clear that English language does not have exact equivalents of the terms used in Vedic literature. So, I am using the terms and language used by other translations although the exact interpretation can be understood by reading th
