What are your thoughts?

What are your thoughts? SIGNIFICANCE OF DHARBAM GRASS(aka KUSA GRASS):- This article is borrowed from https://www.trsiyengar.com/id65.shtml & written originally by TRS Iyengar. "This article is on one of the practices widely used by Indian Brahmins all over using a Holy Grass named Dharbham or Dharbai. The botonical name is Eragrostis cynosuroides and Hindi they call  as Kus or Kusha. Brahmins use this Darbai grass in all functions, auspicious or inauspicious. A performing person needs to wear a ring made of this  Dharbham. But many have lost the reason of why it is to be used in the first place. What I learnt from my father is proved to be accurately correct by a Medicine Practitioner. A medical practitioner named Dr. Sadhashiv Rao, once visited my home. When the topic turned to many subjects, I needed to tell him about the Holy Grass named Dharbham. When I told him about the usage and the values, he could not just believe my words. So, he took out a bunch of the Dharbham fr

what is the significance of form /shape in prayers and worship

what is the significance of form /shape in prayers and worship Can one imagine "Akasha" or "Space" - if you close your eye and try to imagine Akasha /Space, only some object comes to mind  but not the space. Note that all objects including us are infact residing in space - "is there space in the house or the house is in the space ?"... "What is space ?"... "How can one grasp space ?"... "What is behind space (not in the space)?"... So grasping and concentration on space itself is not possible for the untrained - the Brahman in Saguna aspect (all encompasing form). So we have to start with the gross and mature towards the subtle. From solid to liquid to transforming to gasious to space. Which means to start at first one or many form-shapes (visual), then just one, may be later an aspect of that one and from there (to those whe are matured) to an abstract formless form (no specific shape - linga - an indication), then later a ma

I have been hearing a lot about dumping vedas on the basis of Manusmrithi.

I have been hearing a lot about dumping vedas on the basis of Manusmrithi. Read this and help me get the thoughts when did our scripts got polluted. I definitely think vedas are not only for Brahmins.  http://www.ambedkar.org/News/IISc_Suicide.pdf http://www.ambedkar.org/News/IISc_Suicide.pdf

I saw this video and was awestruck as to how cows enjoy their freedom.

I saw this video and was awestruck as to how cows enjoy their freedom. It makes me think otherwise what we are trying to all animals for our own purpose. For milking the farmers captivate these animals and like every living being they also keep their freedom dreams always. Bless the farmers who released the cows rather than allowing to be sent to slaughtershed.
