We know that Veda PaTashalaas teach Vedas to aspiring students - which are normally run by GhanapaTee with meagre funds provided by MaTas (Mutts). The teacher himself here has gone through the regiour of studying upto Ghanam. Normally it takes 7 years to complete Kramam and another year for JaTaa and another year or two to complete Ghanam. If these GhanapaTees come to prohitam (which generally they don't do) they could make a lot of money, but they choose to teach insead of coming to prohitam work. Out of 150-200 students studying Veda 1 or 2 go to study Ghanam and out of 1000 students who study Veda 1 or 2 go to study Shastra. There used to be many Shastra paTasaalaas across Bharatam, now very few are there. This is an appeal to those who can affort - please donate a little to a Veda PaaTashaala or Shastra paaTashaala or our traditional Shankara /Vaish nava /Maadhva MaTaas - which are taking care of many paaTashaalaas. Kanchi Paramaacharya in his Devaithin Kural (God's voice) said that one should keep aside just 1 rupee each day and 1 handfull of rice for daanam (charity) daily, once the rice and money reaches a sizable quantity then it can be donated to a Veda paaTashaala. Just thought of sharing, Swami Vivekhananda also in his last day in material body told his followers to start a Veda paaTashaala... Thanks for hearing

those who have ideas about how to enthuse good families to send their wards to veda patashaalaa. please share!
