I would urge the Sanskrit enthusiasts, students and teachers to join this Google group called Bharatiya Vidvat Parishad - there are over 500 Sanskrit scholars (out of the total 1700 members) who are actively participating and answering questions on Sanskrit, Shastra, Vedanta, etc.

Those who are serious about Sastra knowledge should join this group.

After joining this group, I also recommend people to search the past Q&A database before asking questions and /or posting anything. I also request not to post Junk forwards /promotional material /pravachan links /basic discourse stuff /etc...

Note that, one can search and read the Q&A without joining.

    You need a Gmail account. You can also search and directly go to the group and request to join there.

I have been thinking recently about our state of temples.

I have been thinking recently about our state of temples. They have changed their forms from being cultural and binding factors to just business centres. mostly people who are visiting the temples are doing mechanical things. how can we revive the temples as discussion forums for arts, culture, social responsibilities from being just "transactional" in nature. there are satsangas being organized in the temples, but they just follow the bhakthi movement. how can we revive usage of sanskrit, learning of vedas, and then to create a more responsible generation than ours? ideas are welcome...
