  1. The govt. instead of implementing the Report submitted by the Second Sanskrit commission (the commission has very good scholars - and some I've personally met in World Sanskrit Conference 2015), wants to delay the things. Appointing another committee is simply a time wasting exercise. Instead of just the rhetoric, if there are serious efforts to implement the recommendations, even partially, it will be good. This has been the concern with respect to the development of the Sanskrit for a long time. Many of us have raised this formally and informally. Anyway I am yet to see any major positive thing happening to Sanskrit since the time of Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi as the Central Education Minister.

  4. We really have a useless Education minister. This used to be case ever since Dr. Joshi left the ministry. There were complaints about Dr.Joshi, that he was interfering in the affairs etc. But that wasn't true. He was merely trying to clean up the mess and depolitize academics to some extent. But for him we won't be having a functional Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan today. Many RECs each one with different syllabus are brought together under one umbrella as NIT and additionally 4 more NITs were started during his period. Also IIITs were formed during his time. He really did many things for the betterment of education. Later Arjun singh, Kapil sibal and now Smriti Irani all are doing nothing.
