Mahamahopadyaya Shastraratnakara Srimantah Krishnamurthy Sastrigal is a Vedic scholar par excellence and one among 5 living authorities in Veda bhashyam in the world today. He is the Retired Principal of Madras Sanskrit college and also Retired professor of Vedanta. Srimantah Shastrigal is in the board of Ujjain Vedic University and received numerous awards and titles from Sampoornanda Sanskrit Vishwavidyala, Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan, Rathtriya Samskrita Vidyapeetham. He was recently honoured by the President of India for his services to Sanskrit and Shastras. His father Sriman Rajagopala Ghanpadigal was a great Vedic scholar and his son Sriman Ramasubramanian is a Professor of Maths /Sanskrit /Indian Astronomy at IIT -Mumbai and also President award winner and member of the second national Sanskrit commission. Meeting these Scholars, studying under them and getting their blessings, I consider as one of the greatest things happended in my life. Sri Sastrigal taught me my first lessons in Nyaya shastra.
