I feel that the classification "General Discussion " needs to be removed as it is being used to post content that have nothing to do with Vedas - what is your opinion - Message like this must only be posted as General discussion.
You are true, it should be normal discussions. What do you suggest?
ReplyDeleteSorry if I have contributed to this, my apologies to the group if so.
ReplyDeleteNo one need to apologize for any postings - I'm only referring to improving all our future postings so that as a group we maintain the relevancy of the topic and its classifications - this is to keep out the clutter and also towards our own learning from each other. This request is certainly not against any one in particular but in general. I request that we may add 2 more classifications like Yoga and Bhakti - even though both these 2 may not directly connect to Vedas but have highest relevance from a Vedic life point of view and both are rooted on Dharma - thus stands testimony to Vedic lifestyle. Thanks and looking forward to contributions
ReplyDeleteAyurveda can also be added. I purposefully keeping the Jyotisha at bay even though it is directly connected to Veda as a Vedanga but it can be used for promotion purpose also. I also request people, those who run Veda paTashaalas and also Yogacharyaas to contribute more - we need to establish the connection of the two from a lifestyle pov. - because on one side in the name of Yoga many things are happening against dharma and on the otherhand Vedic students are not aware of the the path of Yoga from a Dharmic life style PoV. There are many paths some choose Bhakti and some choose Karma (Selfless service to the society, animals, nature, etc.) - all the paths are relevant today as ever.
