Guru Purnima, also referred as Vyasa Purnima, is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashada. The day is dedicated to the Guru – one who dispels darkness.

Sage Vyasa is considered the Adi Guru, who divided the Vedas into four divisions, wrote the 18 Puranas, the Mahabharata and the Srimad Bhagavata.

Shubh Guru Purnima !
