३० अधिकाः संस्कृतमहाविद्यालयाः (over 30 Sanskrit colleges) २० अधिकाः आयुर्वेदमहाविद्यालयाः च सन्ति (over 20 Ayurvedic colleges).
All these things need to be communicated to aspiring college entrants those who are bright yet couldn't get into Engineering /Medicine etc. Particularly Ayurveda and Computational Linguistics fields hold good career path.
The above are specific to opportunities in Science including Health science. In addition to these, Research positions in India and Abroad, School teaching positions (over 20000 schools in India have Sanskrit as a subject), etc. are also there.
So making our children study Sanskrit not only protects the language and culture but also offers them good career options. As today we are short of quality Sanskrit Teachers everywhere...

Any online material to learn sanskrit for working persons?
ReplyDeletemany are there i'll send a detailed post on that - where to start, how to proceed further etc.
ReplyDeleteFirst step - enroll into the 10 Day spoken Samskrita shibiram (camp) class - one should atleast attend 2-3 times to get comfortable. This happens round the year and timings should also be comfortable if you're in a big city.
ReplyDeleteSecond step if one is from North India he needs to stop using Urdu /Persian /Arabic words. People allover Bharatam are comfortable with Samskrita words other than their Matrubhaasha - including in South India. This is another way to Integrate Bharatam
There could be many more daily usage words one can compile, with my limited Hindi knowledge these only came to mind!. It is important to compile and use it in conversation.

धन्यवादः
Slowly we all can converse in Samskritam (Bhasha) and Devanagari (Lipi).
Being from Hindi speaking area, i have no big difficulty in reading sanskrit...except the lengthy words which i dont understand where to break.. Most of the words you mentioned are very familiar to me in daily usage..
ReplyDeleteBut my vocabulary is very weak... and grammar is zero...
I have seen a lot of youtube videos like this one: Sanskrit Bhasha Shikshanam...Learn Sanskrit Part 1_1
ReplyDeleteI am yet to complete them, but have completed 2 parts out of 10 available. Its really good, it feels as an extension of a class
Yes Samskrita Bharati Sambhashana class videos are in the Internet. Also Rashtriya Samskrita Samsthan's.
ReplyDeleteBut the Shistaachaara says that we need to learn first-time from "Gurumukham" - means we need to hear it LIVE. Even modern psychologists agree that the Eye contact is important for transmission of ideas.
The deeper meaning of our shastra is that the Aura (the subtle bodies) of Student and Teacher should come in contact with each other - this is the first adhiboudika point of view of the word "Upanishad" - which in literally means "to sit near" - higher order meanings are there for this word, but first is to go into direct contact with the Guru. It doesn't matter who is in front us, who is teaching (whether that person is worthy of being a Guru, etc.) - they must have learnt from someone and that someone must have learnt it from someone else - like this the chain finally leads to the real Guru. Thus like a gene getting transmitted through lifeforms - the Vidya is also transmitted through lifeforms. We should understand this - then the reverance will automatically come.
Later for doubt clarifications we can use phone, chat, internet, voice recording, etc.
I started this for beginners' sanskrit grammar..
