It was nearing the end of the Dwarpa Yuga, an age was coming to a close and a new age was beginning to grip humanity, the birth of the Kali Yuga was emanate.  Among Krishnas last teachings was that he accepts worship in three ways:

1. Vedic
2. Tantric
3. A combination of the two.

After having given his final teachings, Krishna began to meditate, and burned the body through Agni Dharana, leaving this physical plane.  Thus ushering in the Kali Yuga. --Yogi Baba Prem
