Calling God as nirguna

Calling God as nirguna
We call God as nirguna right, meaning he has no gunas, he neither likes something nor dislikes something.

Now that being said ( I'm not contacting vedas nor a disbeliever) why he incarnates then ??
Vishnu the sustainer seeks to establish dharma.
So it means he likes dharma or order in this world.

Your thoughts please ??

  1. I have limited knowledge so do get these logics verified by expert scholars before accepting.

God does like dharma and dislike adharma. "Nirguna" doesn't mean "not liking or disliking something", "Nirguna" means without having any "Guna"s,

The reason why Brahm is called Nirguna is because all living beings are mixture of three gunas, "Satva Guna", "Rojo Guna", or "Tamo Guna", and they willingly and unwillingly act according to it, it makes up the "nature" of the organism. So organisms act like that due to their intrinsic Guna's. Only thing that can change "Guna", overwrite "Guna", or realise these things is "conciousness" . But the God being almighty is manifestation of super-concisousnes, so he is free. He is never bound by Gunas. That's why bramha is Nirguna.

Actually there is long discussion, and many reasons too for the "Nirguna aspect of Brahma". One of the primary concept of many reasons about "Nirguna Brahma" is this.

  3. The ultimate has no likes and dislikes - in Bhagavad gita (5.15) Sri Krishna says the he doesn't take away the bad deeds or good deeds nor gives good or bad to anyone - it is due to knowledge being covered by ignorance we are having the delusion of all such things.

Establishing Dharma doesn't mean that establishing "human social order" or narrow human righteousness ideas, etc. - it means the universal cosmic cyclical order - which sustains the flow of life (lifeforms - all life forms). With respect to the Universal order - human being is just another lifeform among millions of lifeforms right from plant to a whale - there is no male or female, no young or old, no rich or poor, no strong or weak, things like religion, race, language, etc. don't matter with respect to Cosmic order - this is the highest Dharma - that we need to understand. So establishing Order means - it has to be understood at highest level.

Therefore when human beings exceed in population without even actually committing any so called social Adharma (actually over population of human beings itself is the biggest Adharma), then also the Cosmic order breaks due to over population and thus some force arises and then it becomes the cause of correction - this force could be a killer disease, a pandemic or a natural disaster or anything that leads to correction in the order.

"Kali-purusha" or "Kali-Avatar" or "Kalki-avatar" is actually the pure annihilation aspect of the absolute. (anything that is born has to surely die - Bhagavad gita - 2.17) Thus the Kali-avatar coming in White horse with a human form, etc. are just metaphorical - it is in a way to correct the disorder.

All our understanding and ideas and discussions about Hinduism (Sanaatana Dharma) is 99% based on Purana - It is to be noted that Puranas propound the Truth in allegorical and metaphorical way - they shouldn't be taken literally and has to be understood after thorough analysis (vishleshanam) and contemplation (vichaara).
