There's a large ambition by Rohan Murthy to translate Indian traditional texts. The grant has been issued to a foreigner. Sheldon Pollock. It's a 500 book plan.

    This reporting is wrong... there are lot of problems with Sheldon Pollock's works and his intelligent, wilful yet subtle ways of distorting our Shastra and Samskriti and intellectually dominating of the Sanskrit and Indology studies in US through different ways.

    First, you may read Rajiv Malhotra's "Battle for Sanskrit" - then you may go to his website which has many objections, arguments, counter arguments, etc. Then are 2 pundits - who keeps writing about many of the mistakes that Pollock has made. One is my FB contact and other writes in his blog - now there are more Sanskrit scholars who are pointing out many mistakes. There was a petition in Change.org to remove Mr. Pollock from MCLI etc. This was signed by 132 scholars and 40 of them are very Sr. Sanskrit scholars.
