About my thoughts

About my thoughts
===============

I was born a human , but my thoughts came into existence only after a couple of years when I became a child. From there on there has been no break in my thoughts.

I just lived like this through my fantasy filled teens, worried middle ages, disease filled old age and then probably returns to the state of thoughtless nature; like when I was born. And later I will probably return to the same place of my origin upon my death. As pendulum of life swings, it seems that we will return to the state of childhood nature in our old age.

Let's us now analyse the thoughtless nature a little bit in detail. As a child our eyes could be fascinated by a bright coloured toy. We may have played fascinated with it, but after a good sleep, our fascination would have lost. Similarly in our old age, we would be fascinated by some kind of food; let's say. Once either we eat it, or after a good sleep our fascination turns down or is completely lost. Only when we are living through our fantasy filled teenage and worried middle ages that our fascination never ceases even after a sound sleep.

Why does this happen?
=====================
It is clear from the examples of the kid and elderly person that when we are near the state of thoughtless-ness it looks natural. Nobody has taught the kid or the elderly person to be in that state, it just works naturally. Our conception also tells that they will be happy in that state. Why so?

So for now let us infer that thought makes us not-happy. Now let us assess what is thought. It is something that comes to our mind. Now we will further probe what is mind. Is it something waiting to be discovered inside our body, or is it illusory?

For now let us believe that it is an organ in our body, waiting to be discovered. What else does it do other than nourishing thoughts. Well, nothing more would be our answer. Modern science States that thoughts have been traced as electrical signals inside our brain. So if there is a physical mind, it must be somewhere inside our brain where the thoughts arise. Also it has a short circuit mechanism inside which facilitates the thoughtless-ness. Without which we  cannot answer our kid and elderly person not able to persist the thoughts.

Now let us assume that mind is illusory. It only exist while thought is present. Immediately when thoughts cease mind also ceases. Not only the kid and the elderly person stated above can feel this, but we may also feel this everyday while sleeping. Sleep is our very close experience of being thoughtless. Those who experience deep sleep, the next day they feel great and happy. This could be attributed to the thoughtless state we have been discussing. There is no mind that we experience in deep sleep.

So with a thought there appears a mind. So it could be also safe to judge mind as illusory. A thought is always relative to the person to whom it occurs. So it should be generally biased. Here we meet Mr. Ego. Irrespective of whether mind is physical or not we find the presence of ego.

So till now we have seen that a thought is creating a mind, which in turn creates the ego. Selfish thoughts makes ego stronger and stronger. The more the selfless thoughts can be nurtured, the less will be impact of ego. This will help reduce our liabilities like greed, false esteem, pride, anger, enmity etc. Nobody can get a thoughtless nature with these mentioned liabilities. Why should we try to be thoughtless?

It becomes more and more clear about what a simple thought is causing us. It could be negative or positive, but they are equally causing us trouble. It is changing our future course of action.

The moral is that, every human should move to a thoughtless state. But we seldom try.
