In India there is a sacred city called Varanasi,  this city is a seat of Shiva called Avimukta.  Varanasi sits on the banks of the sacred Ganga river.  The word Varanasi is comprised of two words, 'Varana' and 'nasi'.  The word 'Varana wards off faults committed by the organs of perception and action; and the word 'nasi' wards off faults committed by the other organs.

The city of Varanasi is reflected in our astral body (energy body), and is located between the eyebrows.  This is the seat of Avimukta (Shiva-Divine Consciousness).  The sacred sound associated with Varanasi and Avimukta is OM, and another sacred sound associated with this is anusvara or 'M'.-Yogi Baba Prem
