Aarya: The most corrupted word in our culture is "Aarya" - "Ri" Dhatu + Nyat pratyayanta kridanta roopam like "Kri" became "Kaarya" (यथा "कृ" धातुः भवति "कार्य" तथा "ऋ" धातुः भवति "आर्य" ण्यत्/यत् प्रत्यययोजने). Ri means Order and the Bhaava (expression) of "Ri" is Aaryam - . The word is further derived into a Samasa compound to get Aaryah - Aaryam yasya sah = Aaryah (आर्यः). The word "Aaryah" as per yogaartha is the one who instills order, yet rooddyartha it is given to noble person or person of higher race. Here it is to be noted that as per yogaartha normally a kshatriya and that too in pravritti (in action) or God as an Avataara purusha (again in action) can only be an Aaryay - like Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Maharajah Vikramaditya, Maharajah Bhoja, Maharajah Shivaji, Maharaja Krishnadevaraya as they have established order - Dharma. A total renunciate can't be addressed as an Aarya - because renunciates have gone beyond Dharma and are in the path of Moksha (in the dharma /artha /kaama /moksha - order) or may have already Attained. If they happen to be social reformers also, then they can be addressed as Aarya as some Rishis who instilled order. If they are pure sanyaasis or yogis then they can be worthy of leading us towards Moksha but not Aarya. Nature (prakriti) is the biggest Aaryaa (आर्या in feminine gender) - what is this Yogaartha ? - please visit my blog http://sanskritlinguistics.blogspot.in/

Indus valley civilisation - There is nothing called an isolated Indus valley civilization. In fact people were not just living near river Sindhu (Indus) alone - they were all around in Northen India from east to West from Combodia, Assam, Puri, Kasi, Dwaraka, Gandhara, Persia, and in south starting from Saraswati, Narmada, Godhavari, upto Tamrabharani riverbanks and all over South India - only point to note is that they were wise enough to respect the Samskriti (culture) to preserve forests, water bodies and all other natural wealth. For all these the evidences are in Mahabharata - Itihasaas and our ancestors are the ones we should trust in the time of doubt - as it is easy to trust the source of Mahabharata than any western historian as the intention is not to occupy our lands and rule us. More over Mahabharata is history (itihasa means iti-like this, iha-here, aasa-happened) and a first-hand witness of Maharishi Vyasa who lived along with Krishna and the Pandava /Kaurava Kings.

Hindu /Hinduism - There was nothing called Hindu - it was only Sanaatana Dharma (Eternal Dharma) - Dharma the word has 100s of meanings but the primary Yogaartha (stem+suffix - word construction meaning) is "that which holds everything"
- the order of things in the world, the balance of things in the world. - these are the reasons why vyakaranam should be studied. So again our ancestors were wise not to disturb the order thus they protected the order (dharma) in accordance with natrual order there by they lived happily.

Aryan invasion - So much is written about this. So I sum up by saying that this was a total false propaganda used 100 years back by British to divide and rule us physically and psychologically - All our historical theories post independence, are based on the single theory of Aryan Invasion by Max Mullar. The most important fact is that Max Mullar himself refuted this in his later part of life.

Veda - Vedas are not created by Human beings (अपौरुषेयम्). Also Samskritam. Both are revealed together one after the other - first it is Veda  then Samskritam. (Vedas were not 4 but just one before Kaliyuga). Vedas are pure sound forms seen by Vedic Maharishis. Can you see sound - yes. In fact all people see colours for each sound they hear /produce when they are babies and for each sound (syllable) there is an associated colour with it - if this continues beyond age 2 then it is a disease according to medical science !.

What is a sound (in physics it is just a mechanical force /energy) - Maharishi Patanjali answers in Mahabhashyam (in the adyaya Paspasannikam) as संप्रत्ययः शब्दः । ध्वानिः शब्दः - इति महाभाष्ये - knowledge (meanings of sounds) and the original "sound" (noice) both are referred to Sabda (thats why Sabdabraman - Saguna brahma). Every single sound has a meaning - be it a bird chirping or breaking of a tree branch or anything else even the noice from a toy being broken by a child - only thing is that we are not intelligent enough to understand /interpret all the sounds.

How to get the meanings of Veda mantras ? - the first level of meanings of Vedic sounds can be understood from the combination of deep study of Shikshaa & Niruktaa and with the help of Vyakarana (all are Vedangas - means part of Vedas /limbs). 3 Levels of meanings can be achieved after applying all the prescribed methods of meaning derivation.

Maharishi (means a great scientist - master in both objective and subjective science and the intricate connection) who through his Yogadrishti (clairvoyance) sees the sound and gives it a vocal form by pronuncing it - subquently these sounds in a certain resonent sequence have been passed for time immemorial through the method of - Recite-Listen-Repeat-Pass-Recite, etc. During the process some Rishis have seen different things and felt different thus recensions have come. - Shaakhaa in Vedas don't mean branches but recension.

Maharishi Patanjali in Mahabhaashyam says that a Brahmanaa should study Vyakarana without asking any questions - as this was the first shaastra to be studied and also for Artha samrakshanam of Veda, in fact Maharishi provides about 9 reasons for studying Vyakarana - very rationale in his explanation - can anybody say our shastras are dictums !. They have sufficient room for exceptions and relaxations
