We need to inquire a bit more - Satya holds earth - what is satya - what the manifestation of Satya- Veda itself answers this - Rta (rytam or cyclical order) is the manifested Satya - thus the one who protects the Rta or Order becomes "Aarya". Yama or death is the biggest "aarya".
